Class V hitches are very similar to Class III & IV hitches except for the weight ratings.
Class V receiver hitches typically are rated for up to 15,000 lbs. gross trailer weight (GTW) and up to 1,500 lbs. tongue weight (TW). They are also suitable for use with weight distribution up to 16,000 lbs. weight distribution (WD) and 1,600 lbs. weight distribution tongue weight (WDTW). DRAW-TITE hitches are designed to provide top towing performance, with solid-all-welded construction and a black powder coat finish to resist rust and corrosion.
This style of hitch typically uses a 2" square receiver opening. The use of a ball mount and hitch ball of the same rating or higher is required to achieve maximum towing capacity.
